Chapter 16: Picture time! Don't dislocate your arm...

CHAPTER: 16

DO A PROFESIONAL PHOTO SESSION:

Since it will just be you and your baby, chances of you getting a picture of both of you in one will be pretty slim, and don’t expect family to do it, they will always want to be the one in the photo with your baby and not care that you want a good picture, at least ONE PHOTO, of you and your baby looking good, that is you finally with your hair done or at least washed and combed maybe, not necessarily trimmed or cut, but at least clean, and your son with an outfit that is not from Goodwill or a Thrift store.  Most of the photos I have with my son I did using my other hand stretching it out like Pluto the dog reaching for a bone hidden under the bed, or I had some complete stranger take it. But trust me, it will be your kid who will later on ask for a baby picture for his or her high school year book or even college yearbook, and after failing to provide him/her with a proper father figure, you at least want to make sure they don’t make a fool of them selves by saying I don’t have any baby pictures cause my crazy Mom was too busy trying to make a living all on her own and keeping me alive and clean. So shove your baby pictures down your throat!  You don’t want it to get like that, so go and invest or borrow money from a neighbor and get a photo session at Sears or JC Penney’s, you don’t need to fall for all their add ons, just get the basic portrait and use those coupons that come in the penny savers. With these pictures you can also send them out to relatives to show them that you haven’t completely lost it and are now living in some Women’s Shelter and can also hit them up for some cash maybe in the process. I did a session the day my son turned a year old and it was such an amazing experience because he also started walking on his own that day and I realized what a good poser my son is, he was very good with the photographer not that she was that attractive and my son is picky, but does have good taste, I think it was the fact that he really liked and understood that this person was making him look good so he was very cooperative.

There is always the option of asking a Photographer friend to take the pictures, but you never know what you are going to get, plus they still have to make themselves available, but that is another cheaper option that is out there.
