Chapter 17: DO NOT WASTE $$$ ON BABY CLOTHES!

CHAPTER: 17
YOUR BABY CLOTHES:
Everywhere I go from I get from people of all walks of life, look how well your son dresses, how cute, what a nice coat, where did you get those pants? Let me tell you the BIG SECRET, NOT, at GOODWILL, YUP GOODWILL and if you really want to splurge any of the second hand consignment stores: like Chateau Tresor or Flap Jacks, some of these amazing stores have unfortunately gone out of business so you have to really look around these days. I’ve been thinking about opening one and then selling the franchise worldwide. First of all by buying second hand clothes you are saving the planet earth and you are doing a favor to your son’s future. All the money you spend on brand new clothes is just a waste of money, if you look at it that is the most common gift anyone gives you at a birthday present, and the truth of the matter is they only wear it if YOU LIKE and when that happens the outfit only lasts a couple of days maybe a week before he out grows it. So again all that money you spend on clothes you could put in a savings account or invest in a college fund. Not only that, you are also preventing some major multi billion dollar corporation like Wal-Mart, Kmart, Gap, Old Navy from exploiting other little children in so- called Third world countries such as China, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Guatemala, El Salvador who are forced to manufacture these CHEAP FINDS, these clothes that we are brainwashed are sooo cheap and soooo affordable and oh look what a major discount I got these on SALE, YA I saved a lot of money, NO, NO.
And when I’m talking Goodwill, I mean brand names,  I have found and the godmother of my children as well: Ralph Lauren, Nautica, jack and Janie, Puma, Addidas, Dior, Gymboree, Burberry, YUP Burberry fro REAL! No knock-off, and I can tell the difference as I use to buy the real think in my reckless single I’m making a good salary days and I’m going to make up for all the things I wanted and didn’t get when I was a little girl and all my friends had, such as five pairs or more of Levi’s jeans, two pairs or more of Nike sneakers… so trust me I am a Shoppaholic in recovery, but I’ve learned the hard way, declared bankruptcy once and so forth… all I can say is that I come from a family of five, and ever since I was a little child I remember walking into any number of discreet goodwill stores or the goodwill store of St. Stevens in our old neighborhood in Manhattan, and the smell is what is most vivid in my memory the dry and musky smell and all the old ladies looking down at us in our double McClaren stroller saying God BLESS YOU WHAT BEAUTIFUL CHIDLREN YOU HAVE, Ya, so CUTE!
